Gnosis is a state of consciousness in which a person’s mind is focused entirely onto one idea, concept, or feeling. These sigils are visual tools to help a user reach that state of being. They represent mantras of sort. While meditation suggests clearing ones mind completely, Gnosis encourages a single solitary place to put ones energy. Gnosis was constructed by Brandon Shaw and lit by Tobin Tanner. These pieces have been featured at various festivals in the Pacific Northwest, and some of these pieces currently tour with Portland-based band Ayla Ray.
