ABOUT

Over the years, the pathlighters have collected, cut, shaped and sewn over 300 milk jugs and plastic bags to create the star lanterns that light your path tonight. Each lantern is created by sewing pieces of discarded milk jugs, together with plarn (plastic bags). The unused remnants from the lanterns have been sewn together to create a new piece for the winter lights festival, the aureole: halo of light

Pathlighters is a group that has slowly grown from just two to many. We believe in creating calm steady light to guide you on your path. The use of discarded materials is to highlight that given care, time and community anything can be made beautiful. Photo credit: MGV Photography.
