Refractive Highlights is a suspended canopy of lights and mirrors rigged between trees, creating a matrix of sparkles to travel under. This installation plays on the viewers’ position within the space, and interacts with the movement of Portland’s beautifully disruptive winter weather. Hundreds of LED spheres intermingle with hanging mirror shards, lit using abstract generative visuals based on a time-based color scheme, all strung overhead for an immersive journey through space.
