This work finds the intersection between design, art, and engineering. It is an interactive installation that creates unique digital rain showers that are projection mapped onto a handcrafted backdrop made of birch and jute rope. Rain drops are counted individually as they fall from six programmed sequences until enough replicated energy from the drops is harnessed to power a mobile phone.
